I went back to the woods again today in search of new trails in this forest which until then was unknown to me.
There was a mixture of single track, steep descents and river crossings. Very nice and fresh in terms of the pine forest I am farmiliar riding in.
Oh and new bike…..
I found a nice series of dirt jumps this morning in a well hidden forest. The jumps are clearly not ready to ride yet though as although they are well sculpted, they are still soft and the runs are intentionally blocked. Should be good in the better weather.
I have also never seen so many Bluebells in the same place.
I headed up north around the coast to a campsite close to the Game of Thrones Cushendun Caves site.
The ‘glamping’ spot was fairly isolated in the woods and was a good spot to unwind.
All in all. A quality short holiday break on the Antrim Coast.
We came across this lake on a map early in the morning and then made the trip up the winding and anxiety producing roads.
The lake itself was overshadowed by Puig Major, the largest mountain in the Serra Tramuntana; if you look closely you can see an observatory at its peak.
It was surrounded by an array of unknown plants (unknown to me that is) and some hardy cows.
